Family!

I'm in the Quil Ceda Creek Ward in the Marysville stake. The half of our ward that is the Indian reservation is covered by two elders and their mini van. My half of the ward is the city. It's about a mile by a mile and a half big. We bike/walk. I'm with Elder Dowd (who started in the Monroe ward and was there near me for the last 6 months) and with Elder Jankowski (who came out on his mission at the same time as me.)

We white washed into the ward and took it over from some sister missionaries. Their investigators dropped us because we weren't sisters so we have been doing a lot of finding. (most of the time trying to find where we are) haha. I'm the senior companion.

Our ward consists of about 90 - 100 active members. Surprisingly even with 5 elders in 1 ward we still are getting fed about half of the nights.

My address is 7406 47th Ave. Ne. #C2. Marysville, Wa, 98270

Elder Jankowski has had diabetes since he was 9. Lately his blood sugar levels have been all over the place. Last Wednesday night we had to call 911 at 2am because his blood sugar was way too low and he wouldn't eat or drink anything and didn't respond to what we were saying. The ambulance came and got his level back up. We spend a lot of time checking his levels and making sure he can go out and work.

Those pictures are way cool! I can't believe everything is changing that much and in 11 weeks I'll be home. I'm working hard till the end!

With schooling I feel like I should stick with mechanical engineering and still attend this spring semester. I would like to retake the classes I failed to override the grades I scored if possible. I know that as I apply these skills I'm using on my mission in my school work that I can stay strong in my grades.

I love and miss ya'll!

P.S. will send a picture of my companions and me soon.

Dad: Cool!!!  So you are in a group of 3?   How are the members?  Do you have a bike to ride?   What's this town got to offer?

Graham: We are in a three pack. Elder Jankowski and I sleep talk and Dowd snores. The members that we have met thus far are pretty friendly. Just like every ward, their are a few members I wouldn't want to take out on a lesson with us. I've been using the bike I bought from Goodwill. The only problem is the wheels are pretty bent after I got it back from an elder I let borrow it. Our ward has a Wal-mart nearby, a KFC, a Little Ceasers, and a Golden Corral.

Dad: Where are your companions from?  So Elder Dowd has been out for 6 months?  How long has Elder Janowski been out?  Do the elders with the van live with you?  Do they give you rides to the store on P-Day?

Graham: Yeah they bring us to the store, they live in a different apartment. Elder Jankowski is from Riverton, Utah. Elder Dowd is from Henderson, Nevada. Dowd has been out 6 months. Jankowski has been out 21 months.

Dad: See my other email about the drive out to Rexburg?  Do you want me to go all the way there with you?  or do you want to drop me in Salt Lake City (Maybe spend a night there and you drive up the rest of the way by yourself the next day?)

I just want to watch for a good flight price to get home.

Chelle and I are going to my mission reunion in Phoenix Arizona on February 14th!  We will be there the 12-15th and taking Myka with us.

Sent in seperate email:
Graham,

Your check-in day is Friday April 17th.  It will take us at least 2 days to drive out to Rexburg. (25-27 hour drive time)

If we leave on a Wednesday we could possibly spend Thursday night in Pocatello maybe at Uncle Roberts?  Get you to school early Friday to check into apartment, etc.
Then I need to get back down to Salt Lake to fly home on Saturday.  I may have to take the bus down.  I may go spend Friday night with Uncle Robert or a cousin.

What are your thoughts on this?  Do you want me to go all the way to Rexburg with you?  Would you prefer to spend Thursday night in SLC and drop me at the airport and then you drive up by yourself from there to college on Friday morning?  I'm just trying to make a plan and reserve my return flight.

Let me know what your thoughts are.  (Or are you scared to death of school and would prefer to try and defer one more semester and return to school in the fall (off track) and then do 3 semesters in a row! Not the best idea I think)

Graham: I would like you to come all the way up to the school with me again if that's okay.

Dad: Sounds fun!  Have a great week!  Keep up the good work and don't let the Diabetic go into a sugar induced coma!  Eat healthy
