Hello
Elder Feidler!
Where
are you????? We sure would like to know where you got transferred and who
your new companion is and do you have a car?? Are
you in an apartment or a members' home? What is the ward like? What
ward? Many in your teaching pool?
I've
been flying my quadcopter around for fun. Here is our house at night, sunset and during the day. It
was nice yesterday and today. Upper 60's and sunny!
Here
is a picture of the south end of Kirby. They extended the road to the Americas canal
and are now building a bridge over it to lead to a new subdivision that will be
south of us.
It
was great at church today. Got to see some of our ward's new
members. Also got to meet in the new church building in Siena
Plantation. It takes 25 minutes to get there.
We
are about to go down there now to a meet and great.
I
started looking at your school stuff. Are you pretty sure you want to do
Mechanical Engineering? That is a very hard degree that is specialized so
they don't allow a minor either. There will be lots of math classes
too. I was looking at your first semester grades and am a little bit
worried. This will require you to take 14 to 16 credit hours every semester. I'm thinking we might try to get you in the basic classes first
and this semester back will be almost like starting over again.
Let
me know what your thoughts are about this. Do you think you will be able
to handle a heavy load? Your academic status is WARNING. I don't want you
failing out of school. Your GPA needs to get above 2.0 average and you
are at 0.7ish.
Do
some praying and thinking and we can get your first semester planned out and two
semesters if you want to do Mechanical Engineering. It has Calculas and Physics
classes both in the first semester. No grades less than a C in the
Engineering stuff will count towards your degree.
First
Semester would normally be:
Mechanical
Eng 101
Mechanical
Eng 172
Physics
121
FDmath
Calculus 112
Book
of Mormon
FD
Science - You have passed this course. If we leave it off you still have
13 hours to take the first semester back and that would be your lightest load
for the rest of the 4 years.
So
let me know what you're thinking. We could just try to get more general classes out
of the way and maybe one engineering if they will let us do that.
Considered
Business? or other degrees?
Try
not to worry too much about it. I'm sure your study skills and attitude
have changed since the first semester, but please don't get on the Romney Bus
(distraction) if he runs again for President!
We
love you and are proud of the work you are doing! Keep it up. Tell
us all that is new.
Love,
Dad
