Elder
FEIDLER,
Today
we had the special stake conference. It was broadcasted between 4 Houston area
stakes. They changed the boundaries of our ward and moved us to a
different stake and now we meet in a different building! Shadow Creek
ward is now in the Houston South Stake and is to meet in the Sienna Plantation
building south of Hwy 6 and more to the West. We gained some members and lost
some. I think it will be a 25 minute drive to church. Here is Maddie
sustaining the changes so I guess she can't complain.
So
it's pretty exciting as we gained 150 names to our ward and lost about 25-30.
It
has been raining here lots! The
umbrella has come out to play.
Sure
is tough getting back into work but the holidays are over. We had the
Elders over to eat this past week. They liked the Mini.
All
is well here. Just have to get used to the church changes. Kids
will still go to seminary at the Pearland building so nothing changed
there.
I
hope your week has been great. Let us know if you get transferred and if you
will have a car. We love you lots and are proud of the great job you are doing.
I had this picture sent to me this week. People
in Monroe sure like you!
We
love and miss you.

Transfers????
Graham:
Dear
Family,
I'm
getting transferred! I'm kind of sad because this last week we hit mission
standards in this area for the first time since I've been here. This last week
we had 3 new investigators! One of them was a former that told us he wanted to
be taught the lessons again and get baptized so he can get sealed to his wife
in the temple. Another one was a referral from a less active member. We taught
her three times last week and she's on date for baptism Feb.14th. She also has
an 8 and a 9 year old that will hopefully become investigators this week. The
last new one was a homeless lady that randomly came to the adult stake
conference. The Burrell family that have 9 kids under the age of 12 took
her home for the night. Then they found out that she's detoxing from smoking
and drugs. She doesn't know if God exists but is willing to try and find out.
Then we had an incredibly spiritual lesson with Sheryl an investigator and
Connie her daughter. I was on an exchange with Elder Ditlevsen, my past
companion, and we felt inspired to act out the Book of Mormon vs. the Bible.
They were very impressed and were completely silent for the first time as we
acted it. Once we got to the restoration she asked if we had ever met an
apostle. I testified that I had and that I could not deny that Elder Bednar is
an apostle. As I could barely get those words out the Spirit rushed into the
room stronger then I'd ever felt it before. She stopped me and came over and
hugged me and told me how much power was in that statement. She was about to
drop us but now is excited to learn more because of the Spirit. Also this week
we had 7 lessons with less actives. One Family that had been avoiding us for
months text back when we gave them three options for a dinner night. they took
all three. The mom came to church last Sunday and signed up for 3 more days,
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. During our dinners we enjoyed hearing stories
about there missions and shared parts of missionary lessons. During
dinner with them last night they told us that they wanted nothing to do with
the church for the longest time but that we broke through that because of our
pursuance and our love.
We
went to Jessica's birthday Saturday at her family's house.

It
was a very exciting week! Not

Dad: Great pictures!
Graham: Tomorrow
when I show up at transfers I'll find out. We just found out that we have to
drive our mission car to the mission office tomorrow so that they can give this
area the new Ford Fusion.:( I missed getting a new car by a day :(
Dad: Well you missed the car but you get a new area and final
adventure! Enjoy the transfer. Get someone to email, txt or send smoke
signals to let us know the new area and if you have a car.
