Dear Elder Grandson,
How was your week? I know you were probably very busy seeing all
you can to say goodbye and teaching, teaching, and teaching. All the time you
have left you should be so very excited to be doing the Lord's work and making
good memories of a wonderful mission. You are a very good missionary and people
have really liked you. I didn't know you could contact parents to tell
them how wonderful you missionaries are. So many have contacted your Dad
since you have been out. We are very proud of you.
I guess you will be transferred on Tuesday. We are praying
for a good warm place with a car for the winter months and that you will be
guided to those waiting to hear the gospel.
You have actually been warmer than we have. We have been is
the upper 20's and low 30's for over a week now. It has rained so much
that tonight the yard is pretty flooded. There is no where for the water
to go. The ground is so saturated now. We should be clearing out tomorrow
and a little warmer but then cooler again by the middle of the week. Looks like
rain coming your way by the end of the week. I hope you kept your rain gear in
case you get put on a bike again.
We have pretty much stayed in the house except to go to doctor
appointments and I had an MRI on my hip. I can say I am not in any pain
right now, thankfully. Grandpa has had a cold but is getting better.
We are going on a cruise the end of the month (31st) and first
week of February. We are going to San Juan, St. Marteen and St. Thomas in
the Virgin Islands. We are really looking forward to it and some warm
weather. A cousin and her husband in Franklin, Idaho are going with
us.
Everyone here is doing fine and waiting for some good weather to
get out more. Two missionaries in the Spanish Branch called last night and ask
Grandpa to come down to Port Arthur and get them because it was raining so hard
and they were on bikes. He was a sleep and didn't feel real good but he
went. They sure did appreciate it.
We are praying for you and hope you have a great week and a good
transfer.
Love you lots,
Grandpa and Grandma
