Oct 6

Dad:
Hello from my birthday month!  Last Sunday Chelle had her family all over for her birthday. That was fun and we had lots of food.

This week the cool weather came back on Friday eve and Saturday was beautiful!  I took the classic mini up to the Houston Mini Motoring Society meeting on the north side of Houston. That was a fun drive.  So many people giving thumbs up to me and the tiny mini. It's a little scary when the driver in the car next to you is trying to video you on their cell phone while driving. It's pretty crazy.

Chelle mowed the yard while I was gone. It sure is wonderful having such a great wife!  I'm still recovering from the bike crash and throwing out my back. Mainly it is just my shoulder hurting now.

Here I am trying on the surfboard to see how it fits on the mini. It's almost as long.

I was able to get conference in my garage!  Used a lap top hooked up to the tv out there.  While I was away Zack changed the desktop image on the laptop to a picture of the wall and put the tv in a cloaked mode!

I have been busy at work this week.  Working on a quote for a couple of big Harris county park bids.  Myka has been acting different by not wanting to set in her high chair to eat and fighting diaper changes. It's been an adventure.  Today she refused to take a nap. She is 18 months now. Look how fast she is!  Zack took this picture with his cell phone.

Zack is still drawing. Here is one of his doodles:

Not sure what Zack is thinking of blowing up!

I hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed the conference sessions.  I really liked Saturday afternoon's session. Your mother pulled up to pick up Maddie the other day and for a brief second I thought, Graham is home!  Your car fooled me.

Keep working hard!  Any chance of being transferred?  Getting a new companion?  I guess this means you have been out for 18 Months!  Your mission is 3/4 over.

What you decide to do with school is up to you.  I see advantages either way.  If you go to BYU-I right after you get home you will be back on track and back home at the end of July until you go back in January.  This approach may also allow you to get financial aid for the one immediate semester and then get new financial aid again next year to cover the next two semesters.  If you wait until Fall to start back you get to stay home right after your mission and we only have to get you to Idaho once in the Fall and then you will have 3 semesters in a row!  But financial aid may only provide so much money to you for one academic year so you could come up short on grants and need loans or maybe you will make the money in the summer.  So many options. How did you interview go with the president?  I hope you have a great week!
Love you!

Graham:

Dad!

Conference made this last week so great. After watching all 10 hours of it, Sunday evening we swung by Ray and Miriam's house and caught them home. They were the ones on baptismal date but asked us to not teach them any more because they couldn't afford tithing. We got there and Ray was pretty excited to see us and invited us in. We talked to him a little bit about what we had taught him in the past and asked if we could come over this Thursday to share/teach him more again. He said sure! So Ray is back on the ole' ship Zion! :) Also on Saturday we went over to the Rudd family's house to watch conference there with Jessica. She made some great waffles! Then Saturday afternoon we watched conference at the Little's with Jessica. She then went to church with the JW's on Sunday. We stopped by after conference to check up on her and she told us she doesn't feel like she fits in with the JW's church. She excited to come to church with us this Sunday :)

We watched Sunday conference at another member's house with his son's non-member girlfriend. She was really nice and seemed to enjoy conference so hopefully we can start teaching her soon.

The interview with President went great! We decided to aim for the spring semester of college. I probably won't get transferred because my companion got his plane ticket to the Brazil MTC Oct.21st. That's a week after transfers so we aren't sure what will happen yet.

If I was a sister missionary in my MTC group, I'd be flying home in a week!

Zack took that picture with his phone?? I love the desktop back ground. lol

How do you fit in that tiny Mini cooper?? Looks like you could pick it up.

Have a great week!

-Elder Graham Feidler

Dad:
Elder Feidler,

Cool! Great week.  I think you might get a new companion and you stay.  Then you will be in a 3 companionship until your comp flies away.  Let us know once you hear something.

Spring semester will be awesome.  Of course we will have to register you for your classes online as soon as they become available.  We will need your BYU ID and password.  We will also need to find you housing and get your financial aid going.  Will one more semester in on-campus housing be ok or do you have a recommendation of where else?  Still want to bring your car? I could help you drive out and then fly back.  Or we could just fly you out there.

I fit in the mini just like a sardine.  I have to slope down in the seat so my head doesn't stick out of the top.  Then my knees are just about in the dash.

Great to hear about Ray!

Zack got a Windows 8 phone so it does some cool stuff.  That picture effect is built in.

I ordered the iPhone 6 plus.  It should be here by the end of October.

Stay on the Ole' Ship Zion! and keep on doing what your doing.  That was a great talk.  Made a lot of sense.

We love you lots!
