Oct 27

Dad:
Elder Feidler,

Hi from home.  I hope you've had a great week.  The Fall weather is nice here. Still gets hot during the day but cooler at night and in the morning.

How are the investigators progressing this week?  Riding that bike much?  Did you get a small package from us?  And one last week from Grandma & Grandpa? How's the new companion?

We had a Trunk or Treat at the church on Friday night. It was a good turnout. The classic Mini put on a fun costume.

It had two iPads for the eyes and they would move around. The kids loved it!  Myka was a kitty cat and Chelle was a witch.

Been a great week here.  Maddie did not get a main character part in the school play "Little Shop Of Horrors" but she got a call back for one. And she made it into the chorus.

Keep up the good work and send more pics!  We are praying for you lots and are proud of your dedication and work. Today's church pic.

I took the classical Mini of Clear Lake for the October event on Saturday. Decided to stop and take a Texas picture!

Graham:
Miracles happened this week! Started off Monday evening after preparation day was over. We went out knocking doors down some long dirt roads until 9 pm. To our surprise we didn't have one angry person answer the door even though it gets dark at 5:30 now. As we knocked doors we were given five referrals from random people. One of which was a family about a mile down the road that had just moved in. They said we could stop back by and help them out with a few things around the house. So we stopped by on Saturday, helped them with some demolition in their backyard and went inside their house. As we walked in a food storage box caught my eye with the church's label on it! ;) We were able to sit down with them and answer some of their questions, focusing a lot on why we are here in this life and where we are going afterwards. The wife became pretty excited but the husband is atheist. They said they would love to check out a Sunday meeting with us in a few weeks.

Wednesday we didn't have the car so we decided to ride our bikes. With our luck it decided to rain on us! It started out as wimpy Washington rain and worked it's way up to a Texas down pour. We didn't let this stop us. We were able to talk to some really friendly people. One of which gave us the name and address of one of his friends who is having some severe depression. We hope to stop by his friend's place tomorrow and bring some joy in his life.

We switched missionary companionships on Thursday for the day. (Exchange) I was with Elder Knight. We had a lesson at 10 am where we were able to help Jessica make more goals to stop smoking and help her understand how prophets really are God's mouth piece. The rest of the day we basically spent knocking doors. We found a few people who said to come back this week but as the day went on the people got less and less friendlier. Right before dinner, we had parked on the side of a curvy county road and had knocked on all of the doors on that street within walking distance. With no success I said a silent prayer in my head to have God direct me to someone who would answer/ talk to us before dinner. Across on the next street I saw a trailer house and felt a strong impression to go knock on the door. Five seconds after we knocked on the door an older gentlemen answered the door and waved us off. A little disappointed, we walked away from his door and noticed a dinky little RV trailer on a piece of property all by itself. The same strong impression came back and we walked over to this little RV trailer that we weren't sure if any one even lived in. We knocked and she answered! Kristina, the lady living in this make shift home was so surprised and excited to see us! "How did ya'll find me?" she asked. We then told her what had happened and she told us that she had been taught by missionaries at her last living quarters but moved. She asked us where the church was and told us she wants to be baptized!

Saturday night at our dinner we had some amazing Bulgarian food at the Rusharski's. Half way through dinner the glass door behind my companion began to howl. At which point they told us there was a severe storm coming into town. Felt like I was back home in a hurricane. A few minute's after the wind picked up the power went out and we excused ourselves to go home before it got any worse. Thankfully we are all safe and sound and the city of Monroe made it through the storm with only a few fallen trees.

Last but not least, YESTERDAY! We were at the church for 11 hours! Best 11 hours ever. We had meetings before church and then lessons and studyies at the church until 6 pm. We ended the week with 5 new people to teach and about 10 others that said to stop by this week.

Have a great week!!
