Dear Elder Grandson,
The weeks are flying by. We hope your past week was a good
one with lots of referrals, dinners and lessons being taught. I hope you
still have a car because this coming week looks like a wet one for you.
Winter must be getting close for you. We are to have severe weather
tomorrow and then must cooler weather that we have been looking forward to for
months.
We still have so much work to do around the house. I hope we
can find someone to paint the metal awning between house and shop this week.
The missionaries came out on Thursday and helped Grandpa clean the gutters on
the shop. We are so glad that is done. We really do appreciate them
helping us when we need it. It only took 2 hours. I feed them good
afterwards. They said it was the first meal a member had for them last
week. Our ward falls down in feeding 3 sets. Tuesday is transfer
day and all three sets are getting one new missionary. Your transfers
will be the next week. Time really goes fast for them. We just get
to know them and they are gone. We sent a package to you on Saturday. I don't think the mail runs
tomorrow so you might get it on Tuesday or Wednesday. I guess we may not hear from you on Monday, it is Columbus day. Sounds like you are going to go right out to college when you get
home. I guess that will be good, but we will miss you again. Life
just keeps going on so make the best of what you can when you can. We are finally going to do something besides work. We are
going to meet one of my cousins from Idaho and her husband in
Branson, Missouri the first of November for 5 days. Then we are going on
a Country Music Cruise the 31st of January going to San Juan, St .Thomas and
St. Marteen for 7 days with the same cousin and husband. I have always
wanted to go there but not on a Country Music Cruise. I guess I will put up
with it just to get to go to those Islands. We had a good time Friday at your house. Chelle went to the temple
and your Dad worked and we watched Myka. You wouldn't believe how
much Zack and Maddie have changed and grown up since you've been out. We sure love and miss you and pray for you each day. Keep up
the good work. Take good care of yourself too.
Love,
Grandpa & Grandma
