Elder Feidler,
It has finally come! We got some cooler weather. Yesterday the high was around 78 degrees and it was cloudy all day. It was beautiful! Today is in the 70s too. Yesterday morning was so nice I decided to join some others for a bike ride. Unfortunately it started misting and the roads got real slick. We were about a mile south of Bailey Rd and turned to the right when the guy in front of me had his bike slide right out from under him. I thought I would turn a little tighter and miss him and mine slid out like it was on ice! The asphalt road had some oil on top of it and it was super slick.
I scraped up my knee and elbow and today I am way sore with my shoulder, wrist and hip. So be careful out there and keep the rubber side pointed down.
This past week I did a trade show up in Houston on Thursday.
And Thursday evening Maddie had her first high school choir choir concert. It was fun and they did well.
Yesterday after the bike crash I took the classic Mini up to a combine Lotus and Mini meet. One other VTec Classic Mini was there. The green one on the right.
Everyone loves our classic Mini. On the way home I got behind another British icon.
It's an open top double decker tour bus in Houston. Pretty cool!
Any progress with Jessica this week? Did you achieve your goals and have bottomless root-beer floats?! I hope so.
I can't believe it is the middle of September already. This year will be over before you know it.
Here's Myka enjoying a Sunday lunch before nap time.
We miss and love you lots! Keep up the good work. We are praying for you always. Don't fall off the bike like me! :)
Graham:
Dad
and Family,
It
has been a busy week. We finished the last of our weekly planning goals last
night at 8:19 pm. This week we found 2 new investigators and taught 8 lessons.
The 2 new investigators live right next to Jessica. The mom Sheryl is in her
50's and the daughter Connie is 22 and has a 2 year old daughter. The mom has
lots of questions and concerns but the daughter is practically a member. She is
incredibly nice and backs up everything we say to her mom. Jessica has started
to progress more towards the end of the week. She really wants to go to our
church but doesn't know how to still be friends with the jw lady if she tells
her she won't go to their church. She also told us that she prayed to ask God if
she should be baptized in our church and that God told her it would be a really
good thing to do. The members of Woods Creek ward are doing an amazing job
fellowshipping! We had several members drop by at Jessica's this week to give
her encouragement and some help with stopping smoking.
On
Saturday we had our national day of service at a grave yard on Old Owen Rd. We
cleaned up the tomb stones and pulled out lots of weeds. We had about 150
people show up to help. One less active family and 7 non members. This ward is
also doing incredible with using Mormon words in their conversations and
inviting others to things.
We
haven't got on bikes for quite some time. We have the car 3 days a week then we
get rides from members and walk the other 4. Our bikes just aren't in very good
condition and having the members drive us has really helped get them involved
in the work.
I
can't wait to go get some bottomless rootbeer floats :)
I
love and miss ya'll!

Dad: Wow
what a great week! You're no doubt being blessed for all your hard work. Keep it
up! I'm driving right now so can't really talk. I'm having to dictate
this.
