Grandma & Grandpa - Aug 11

Dear Elder Grandson,
How is the new area? We have been praying for you more this week and hoping you are adjusting to the new area, housing, and the bike. We also prayed for guidance to people who are in that area waiting to hear the gospel, that you would be guided to them. We have faith that you will be guided.
I don't understand how you have time to heat the water for your use and then this winter how you can heat the apartment. That area must be very primitive or conservative. Be patient is all I know.  You have been blessed so far.
You look really good in the pictures.  Does anyone feed you in this area?  I know it must be hard for them and you with you living so far from town.  Our Bridge City missionaries are on bikes and live about 3 miles from town. The Port Arthur missionaries live in an old house with only one window air conditioner that doesn't keep the house very cool.  I guess you never know what your area is going to be like until you get there.
Yesterday, Saturday, Grandpa and three members and the two Mid County missionaries built a wheelchair ramp for a sister that we home teach. She lost her foot from diabetes in April.  Her husband, who passed away about 3 years ago, was a Marine so Grandpa got the Marine Corps League he belongs to the pay for the material and the church members built it.  It was very hot and in the sun. It was really hard on Grandpa, but they got it done. It took about 6 hours.  I have attached a picture of the group and the ramp they built.  Grandpa and I feel more hand rails are needed, so he will go over one evening and put some more boards up.
We had Andi two days this past week and Aiden one day.  School starts two weeks from tomorrow.  I don't know if we will have them all that time or not yet.
We have the iron rails done for upstairs, but they are two heavy for us to get them up there so we will have to get help.  I need to shampoo the carpet too. This week is suppose to really be a hot one with no rain so we probably won't get much done.  We are both really tired of working outside so much in the heat. Fall will hopefully come soon and be cooler.
All for now.  Have a great week doing the Lord's work.  We are praying for you.
Lots of Love,
Grandpa & Grandma
