How's
Maddie and Chelle went to the temple yesterday for a youth trip. They had about 20 youth attend. I got to watch Myka and we went to Gymboree and played. Then Myka slept and I got to finish putting the trailer hitch on the Mini so I can pull the classic Mini. I just need safety chains and magnetic lights.
I pulled it around the neighborhood and it pulls fine.
Pena's Donut Heaven is really popular again. This time they are making kolaches stuffed with Killen's bbq brisket. They are super yummy!
They only sell them on the weekend and they sell out fast! It's crazy how well he is doing.
Zack has been busy working at Old Navy. He mostly does the closing shifts and he seams to enjoy or at least tolerate the work.
Zack, Maddie and your mom went up to see your Nana yesterday.
Maddie got her class schedule and is taking lots of Pre AP classes. I hope she studies hard. Neither her nor Zack did their summer reading yet so I have turned off the internet for them here at home so they will be less distracted.
All back to school in one week! We will have to start waking up early again. It has been nice sleeping in until 7am.
I hope all is well there. Find any new investigators this week. Getting any dinner appointments? I hope you are well taken care of. We love and miss you lots. Keep up the good work. We are praying for you.

Dear
Family,
This
past week was a great one! Last night we went to a mission fireside with an
investigator. She really enjoyed it. We are the only missionaries in our ward.
Our mission is hurting for missionaries right now because a lot of missionaries
have been heading home early. We also, starting tomorrow, get to drive a car part-time. We will get it Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Our church starts at 9 am
and we have meetings that start at 7 am.
Thursday
last week we had a member drop us off out in the middle of our area and we
spent 6 hours walking around knocking on doors that didn't have large dogs in
the yards. Sadly we thought the area that we got dropped off in would have more
houses than it did. At one point we had made it to the dead end of a long road
which had 8 houses at the end. They had signs up that said no trespassing and
beware of dogs. I thought out loud and said, "We should stand here at the
end of this road until somebody comes out or drives by." There was one
house that was all by itself down a dirt road without any signs so we
started walking that way. As we did I said a silent prayer that we wouldn't
come across any mean owners, big dogs, or bears and that we'd have people come
up to us to talk to us. Right after I finished my prayer we had a truck pull up
and stop next to us. We asked him if he would be interested in hearing our
message and he said sure but that he was headed off to work so to swing by
later on. After
he pulled away we had two more cars pull up to us and thanked us for our work
and said we could swing by too! This all happened 2 miles down a dead end road.
Pretty neat.
Later
on that same day a big black lab ran up to us. He turned out to be really
friendly but kept following us! He followed us for a half mile until we decided
to turn around and bring him back. When we got back the owner waved us away. He
told us that his dog would find his way back and to just let him follow us...
Friendly people out in the middle of nowhere.
We
weren't able to teach anybody new this week. Thanks for the package in the
mail! That peanut brittle is so good! The package was short on postage $4
though. One of the less actives here made fun of my white shirt sleeves! haha
Where my elbow is, my shirts are worn out through all but 2.
I'm
pretty excited for this week! It should be a great one.
Love
and miss ya'll
