Aug 11

Dad:
Elder Feidler,
I hear there is 8 minutes less of daylight every day as we head towards winter. Enjoy the sun while it lasts.

How's the new area going?  Are you getting your cycling legs back?  We enjoyed getting the picture of you on splits with the other elder. Does your companion remember any of the foreign language he was taught in the MTC 11 months ago?

It's been just another normal week here.  Myka is sporting the sunglasses.

Speaking of glasses. You should be getting a package soon. Not sure how they will look or fit. Hopefully well.

Myka has been playing at Gymboree. Maddie has had two days of choir camp prepping her for district choir competition. Zack has been working this weekend. It was tax free weekend and the store was a mess when I went in. Here is Zack helping someone find jeans.

Maddie got some new school clothes yesterday. So now even though it is 95 degrees outside she is wearing a new jacket she got because it is cool.

Chelle got to rock Myka to sleep the other night.  She looks super cute sleeping.

Scripture of the week for you is Alma Chapter 17. Go missionaries!!!

We love and miss you lots. Have a great week and keep up the good work.

Graham:

Family!

Haven't done too much cycling this past week.

This past week I went on my first exchange in this area. I was with a missionary who had been out on his mission for a week. Not knowing the area very well and having bikes that aren't in 100% working condition we decided to walk to the only neighborhood in our ward and contact less active, potential, and former investigators that live there. We had plans and back up plans for every hour leaving us with 30 mins or so to tract after we had seen all of the names. We ended up seeing all of the names in 45 minutes and had no success. We then tracted for 5 hours. Hopefully I didn't wear the new missionary out!

There are three wards that attend church at our building. Every Wednesday night and Saturday morning the missionaries have been running sports time.

It was a rough week to say the least. My companion still studies Portuguese every day for an hour. He seems to know how to speak it well. He has been pretty irritated at the mission or all US missions. He is really ready to go to his mission where the lord has called him to work.

Sadly we found 0 new investigators this week but we taught two lessons to Ray who was on date for baptism this past weekend. But he forgot most everything the missionaries had taught him because he has short term memory loss and we taught Jessica twice. This week she told us she wants to be baptized in the Jehovah's Witness church.

Please pray this week that we can find some new investigators and that we can work better together as a companionship.

Dad:
Elder Feidler,

Don't be discouraged. Great things are to come! There always has to be a trial before the success.  I hope you can handle all the success that will be coming your way.  We are praying for you. Just make good choices and be diligent.  Hopefully after the AP's visit, your companion will understand that you don't need to run the Saturday sports stuff.

Keep tracting and asking for member referrals.  As the members get to know you they will want you to teach their friends.

Tell Jessica to pray!  Have faith and keep on finding.

We love and miss you. Just another really hot and dry day here. The grass is turning brown and needs water.

So do you have to load the wood in to get the hot water each time you need it or is it something that burns all the time to heat the house?

Love,
Dad, Chelle and Family

Graham:
I'm not sure how much wood the heater takes but the water takes a few logs two days. The shower is either really hot or really cold haha

Dad: It's P-Day! You got any fun plans for the day?
Graham: Since they can't play sports during the week any more that is what they are going to do today. I'm planning on writing some letters and writing in my journal.
