Grandma & Grandpa - Nov 17

Dear Elder Grandson,

Well, how was this past week? We hope you are finding new investigators and teaching a lot of lessons to people who really want to hear the gospel. I noticed you have really been cold with some rain.  Can you go out on bikes when it rains? Do you still get a car for 3 days a week?  I hope the members that help you came back in town and you didn't have to get wet and cold.  We pray for you and the work you are doing.
This past week was a week of doctors and an MRI.  My back has gone completely out and I am waiting to see if I can be helped with surgery.  We know a neurosurgeon in San Antonio that is a friend of the family that I want to do the surgery if I need it.  Hopefully, we can find out soon so I can get it done before Thanksgiving.
This week was Veterans' weeks and Grandpa went over to Andi's school program. There were about 5 men in uniform and Grandpa was one. I have a picture on my ipad I will send you.  They always do a great job. Then there were all the free meals by restaurants that Grandpa hit.
Today at church Grandpa was put in charge of seeing that the missionaries are fed. We have the calendar now.  Our ward has not been good about feeding them and he has been their advocate in Priesthood so I guess they decided he could do it.  Looks like I have another job to do now.
We are just very boring and crippled here. Not much to write about. It rained today and we really needed it, but turning colder tomorrow for three days then back up to normal again, thank goodness.
I know I say this each time, but we are proud of the work you are doing and want you to enjoy this time in your life. You are a survivor and a good example, keep on keeping on and stay positive in all you do.  You are growing into the man we all want you to be and you are loved by your Heavenly Father.
We love you so much.
