Dear Elder Grandson,
How was your week? You have certainly been working hard and it may
seem you lose one or two but always seem to gain more. Not everyone is
ready to hear the Lord's words. You just keep looking and they are out
there waiting to find the fullness of the gospel and change their lives.
We are always praying for you and the work of the Lord.
We had a great week in Branson. My cousin and her husband
met us there. They live in Franklin, Idaho and drove two 12 hour days to
get there. We saw six shows. They were all great. We saw The Hughes
Brothers that are LDS. They are 5 brothers that have families totaling about 45
and they all performed doing something on stage. There were two or three
babies that people held. They did a fantastic show. We also saw 6
brothers (SIX), that sang and mouthed musical instruments that were LDS too.
They had aged a bit since we last saw them but were still great. We saw
the 3 Osmond Brothers and the Lennon Sisters. They are very old from the
days when I was in High School. Saw the Oakridge Boys and a Broadway show
called JONAH. It was about Jonah and the whale and his struggles with
what the Lord wanted him to do. It left a powerful message
about obeying the Lord and living your life in his name. It was the most
spectacular show with sights and sounds unbelievable. We also saw the
fiddle player Shoji Tabuchi. We had seen him before and he has gotten old and
it was good but not as good as we had seen before.
I can't remember if I told you I am having some back issues.
The ride to Branson didn't help or all the sitting through shows but we still
had a good time. I guess my time to do outdoor house stuff is over for
this year. Hopefully Grandpa can get the awning done and we can get it
painted before winter comes. We are expecting a very winter blast of cold
air on Tuesday. You look like it will be cold there too. Hope you
have a good winter coat still. It was a cold winter last year too that started
in November.
The picture I am sending is my cousin Evelyn and her husband,
Bob and Grandpa and I; the fiddle player Tabuchi and SIX brother's
cars. Only three cars were there that night.
Send pictures, we always like to see them. Have a great week. We
are proud of you.
Love,
Grandpa & Grandma
