Sept 23

Dad:
Elder Feidler,

Hello from Texas!
I hope it is going great there!  Today is Maddie's birthday.  Your little Sis is 14! and such a big girl now.  She had a sleepover party here on Friday night with 3 friends from her school.
And that was fun and noisy.  They watched the movie Now You See Me and ate cake and played games with candy
Earlier in the week she was excited just to get her cell phone fixed. It had been broken for over a week and we were waiting on a new ribbon cable for the screen.  I bet that was the problem with all the Kin phones you and Zack killed.
I decided to be cheap and play phone repairman.  It worked!
We have 3 elders in our ward right now as one is brand new and has to wait for his Visa to go to Africa.
They came over to our house Friday night before the birthday party and watched Mountain of the Lord with one of their investigators, Jerrell, in our home theater.
I forwarded the above pictures to each of the Elder's parents.  They were excited to get it!

Today we went to Church and Myka hasn't been napping too well.  So she decided she needed a nap after sacrament and I just laid her down and she is out like a brick.

But Maddie got to pose with her here.
Maddie got a new curling wand as you can see above.  She pretty!

Zack and I did some more work on the old mini yesterday.  We rebuilt the front suspension on one side, upper & lower ball joints, tie rod end, etc.  Some bushings we ordered in the kit did not fit so we didn't get to replace them all.  Poor car has too many issues to list!  But at least it still rolls down the road.

This next week is the last week of the month so I am hoping to close some playground sells at work.  Several are real close.

Chelle's Birthday is just 6 days away!  She has started doing some stencil painting and other things she likes and has found on Pinterest.

Keep up the good work and stay healthy!  We just got some rain and the temperature made it all the way down to 69 degrees this morning.  I hope we see some more cooler weather.  I hope you have enjoyed the summer up there.

We love you so much and are very proud of you. You are always in our prayers.  Let us know if you need anything.

Send pictures and video soon!!

Love Dad

Graham:
Happy birthday Maddie!  I made a video of me singing you happy birthday but it won't let me attach the file to this email! SORRY :/ Hope you  had a great birthday! I can't believe it is almost the end of September. Not too much is new. Right now we are working with a girl Alysia who seems like a pretty solid investigator. We have taught her the first two lessons and we will teach her the third lesson Thursday night. We are also teaching Kitty. She is a foreign exchange student from China. She's staying with a family from the ward during the school years. Sharon and Alvie made it back in town from picking up Alvie's mom. She is a very nice lady and is doing great for being in her 90's. We found an extra two tickets to general conference in Salt Lake for Sharon's daughter and her less active fiance. My ward mission leader bought me a shoulder bag for the switch! It seems to work good but I'm going to miss being able to have backpacks. Also my scriptures don't fit in it very well.

That is most of the exciting stuff going on. We have a few other less active families we were able to visit this last week. Lance is still super busy with all of his kids being in sports and his wife working 12 hour shifts at the hospital. Br. Tonks in the ward is working close to him in the Boeing building. It is in the lower 50's here with a lot of rain lately. I have two more weeks here in Machias and then I will most likely get transferred. Here are a few picture I took! Enjoy :) I miss ya'll a ton.

 Love,
Elder Graham Feidler

Dad:
Finally Pictures!  Thank you sooooo much!  You look like your doing well.  We miss and love you!

Graham:
Classic Mustang and Corvette we working on. Also our mission has the new Ford Fusions that look like Aston Martins.

Dad:
Sweet! Looks like it got hot there! 92 degrees.

We are still working on the Mini.  Last night the turn signals stopped working and now we have to track down that problem.

Graham:
GREEN SAUCE
This delicious, versatile sauce is good as either enchilada sauce or a dip.
·        1¼ pounds tomatillos
·        1 jalapeño (seeded, if desired, for less heat; use additional peppers for more heat)
·        2 to 3 tablespoons chopped cilantro
·        1 avocado
·        ¼ teaspoon salt
Shuck tomatillos, and place in large saucepan with the jalapeño. Add water to cover, and boil until the tomatillos are soft, about 20 minutes. Cool. Using a slotted spoon, remove the tomatillos and chile pepper, and place in a blender, reserving the cooking water. Add the cilantro, avocado and salt, and blend until smooth. If necessary, use some of the tomatillo cooking liquid to get the right consistency.

Dad:
Thanks Yum!
