Dad:
Welcome to August
Elder Feidler!
Oh the adventures
here. Maddie has allergies and needs to take a pill everyday and has an
inhaler! She was coughing every night and these have helped.
Chelle had foot
surgery and they took out her sesmoid bone while in the foot. They had to
make cuts in from the top and bottom of her foot. Here she is after surgery:
She was so ready to
get rid of the foot pain. Now that she has had the surgery we find out she has
to stay off her foot for two weeks. She has crutches but
they are killing her so yesterday we
rented on of these:
Yes a knee
scooter! She like it better and the basket on the front is very helpful to
carry stuff. She sees the Dr.
again this Friday. Hopefully she will be able to walk in a boot after that.
We have been helping
out a little more with Myka. We have been letting
Myka sleep in our bed this week so we wouldn't have to get up and get her. This is what I see
when I wake up. Cuties!
I'm still way busy at
work. I'm about to sell Houston ISD 6 new playgrounds and 7 shade
structures. I also have a couple of playgrounds I hope to sell a church
in Kountze this month. Looks like it will be a good month. Maybe my
best ever. I'm sure we are being blessed because of you serving a
mission. Keep up the good work.
I had my 25 yr class
reunion this weekend. I only went to the Friday night social since it was
free and I got to see all the same people pretty much. It was nice to see
them, but not much in common. They were drinking and drinking...
While over in Port Arthur I had to make
a stop at my favorite place in the mall - yum cheese on a stick!
Last week Zack got
called as the Teachers Quorum President. Next Saturday they have a youth temple
trip. Starting with this month the YM / YW Activity night for the ward
has switched to Wednesday nights. We will share the night with Silverlake
Ward. Zack outgrew his suit so we had to buy a new one last week for
him. He's just getting taller.
Here he is sitting on
the knee scooter. (Note: Chelle said not to include her in the picture.
done.)
Sorry, we have not
sent off your package yet. Maybe tomorrow. I did find your plaid
Hat! So it will be coming.
We love and miss
you. I hope all is going well. Send that SD card soon with some
pics and video!
Love, Dad
Graham:
It's Monday!
This past week has been a little crazy! Our shower in our trailer had black mold growing behind the side panels and through the sheetrock. One of the panels used to have a handle on it but it had broken off a while back. We decided to show Sharon and Alvie the black mold and Alvie and I started pounding at the wall breaking it down. I forgot to wear a mask so I wouldn't breath in all of the black mold stuff. After being in there for an hour Sharon came in to see how things were going and freaked out when she saw how much black mold there was. Now everyone is scaring me making me think I'm gonna get super sick cause I breathed in the black mold. Since this happened she brought in a professional and made us move downstairs into her basement. So we are down there for probably two weeks until our trailer is worked on.
Besides that, this past week has been pretty good. We visited lots of less actives and got a few people to come to church that hadn't been in a while. Also got Sharon and Alvie to come to church because I was bearing my testimony in sacrament meeting. Sadly I think we scared Lance when we gave him a baptism date. He now is canceling on us and not coming to church. Hopefully this next week we will find some new investigators! Still getting along great with my companion! I taught him how to take care of the chickens this past week and now he won't leave them alone! lol We have so many eggs from the chickens we don't know what to do with all of them!
I have my first interview with the new mission president this week! Finally get to really meet him. Everything is going great here. Yesterday I was able to fast for a family that really needs a job. They are pawning everything trying to feed their family and pay for rent!
I love and miss ya'll a ton! Hopefully I'll have time to write some letters later today.
