Elder Feidler,
Well we did it. Went off and bought a classic Mini. The one we saw on Craigslist in
It was not running well so they hauled it to our house with a car dolly. Sorry we didn't get a "fun" car for you. I'm not sure how much fun this one will be. But Zack is learning how to repair it and has already washed and waxed it and repainted the inside of headlight reflectors where rust was. I made some magnetic bonnet stripes. There is no A/C and the windows are hard to roll up & down. It leaks oil. We replaced the battery and the fan belt and have ordered a new fuel pump, headlight switch, wheel stud and lug nut, engine mounts and engine stabilizer bar bushings. Still need to track down the oil leak. It has an 850 cc engine and 4 speed manual transmission. We got it up to 62 mph on hwy 288. It's not real powerful and needs the engine mounts replaced ASAP.
But for all the bad the car looks awesome to Zack and me and the first place we stopped to get gas a guy asked if we wanted to sell it. I think it will be a fun car but may take a lot of work to keep it up as a daily driver.
It is a right-handed drive. Previous owner bought it from
Enough about the car. I've still been busy at work. We are feeding the missionaries on Tuesday night. They have been doing well with less actives and part member families too.
Maddie and Zack are spending more time with your mom now that she has a house. Zack helps here with the lawn. I think she will be having the baby in the next 1-3 weeks?
Myka is doing great and can roll from her back to her belly now. Chelle is walking a little better as her foot is healing from the surgery. She can walk about half speed wearing a special boot on the foot.
Did you get your box from us last Monday? I hope you enjoyed the beef jerky, snacks and junk. I think some of the ties we sent might have been too small? If so give them to some youth in the ward or less active kids.
I got two bonus sign-up Chase credit cards for Southwest Airlines a few months ago. Now we have 110,000 points and earned a free companion pass so from now until the end of 2014 Chelle can fly for free with me any time I fly and Myka can go free as my lap child. So hopefully we will get to fly somewhere this or next year.
I also have a $400 free credit on another credit card when it is used for travel. We did not take a vacation this summer because of the baby. So maybe for Christmas we can travel.
Your last letter was good encouragement for us so we are doing better with family prayer and hope to start back up family scripture study. Kids go back to school in one week. Summer is over.
Thanks for serving in the mission field! I'm so proud of you. We are praying for you daily. Send pics or video soon.
Love you!!!!

Hey,
Hey! Today is a busy day! It's district P-day so my district wants to do
something together but we also have President Bonham coming over to Sharon and Alvie's
tonight for dinner. So we need to clean up the place for them. More recently we
haven't had as many dinners so we end up eating the food we have and now we are
out of money already! lol Not good. This past week was a good one besides not
having dinners. We had 3 lessons with Emily, a 12 year old who goes to church
with her grandparents. She says she wants to get baptized before school starts
so we are trying to make that happen. Also go a hold of Lance and taught him
last night. He and his family have just been too busy to do much. She's a nurse
and three of their 4 kids are in sports. We have another lesson with him on
Friday. Sounds like I'll be here in Machias for another transfer because Alvie
is going through another surgery and Sharon
called and said she didn't want any changes. lol My companion and I are still
doing great! Doing better with my speaking skills and trying to talk to everyone
I come across.
I
can't believe ya'll actually bought an old mini!! Sound like it will be alot of
fun working on it to make it nice again! From the pictures you sent it looks
brand new! Is the wheel on the wrong side? :) Hope Zack enjoys it! Anything new
going on by the front of the neighborhood? How's that new elementary school
coming along? I miss Gringo's so much! YUM!
I
love and miss y'all!!

Dad:
Grandma
and Grandpa are over here visiting right now. Yes the steering wheel is
on the wrong side. Here is a picture of Grandpa and Aiden sitting in the
car with Aiden driving.
Sounds
great that you will have a baptism soon.
They have
a traffic light up at the front of the neighborhood but it is not working
yet. They also have an old folks home framed up where the cows used to
be. The school is framed up and is a two story elementary school.
That's
awesome the Mission President is coming over to eat. You will just need
to solicit some meals! Send a calendar around at church for people to
sign up and tell them you are hungry.
We love and
miss you! Keep up the good work.
Dad
