Dear
Elder Grandson,
Wow,
where does the time go. One week ago we were in North Carolina
and we got home on Wednesday afternoon. We had a good
time coming home. We went to the Smokey Mountains, which
was a lot like what we went through to get to the wedding; winding roads and trees everywhere. We also went through
Gatlinburg, TN and then went down to Chattanoga, TN to
Look Out Mountain. You are supposed to see seven states at
the top. It was a foggy day and we couldn't see anything
but clouds. It was a pretty walk to get to the top though.
There was a train on cables that went up the mountain
called the incline train. It felt like you were going
straight up and down when you got to the top. I was a
little nervous on it. Going down was beautiful. It was
about
a mile long ride. We then left there and went to
Atlanta,
GA and saw Stone Mountain. It is a big rock
mountain
that has Generals carved out on it. I sent a
postcard
to you of that. We also rode the tram to the top. It was a lot of fun doing things we haven't done
before.
Now I just want to stay home.
We
have been having a lot of rain and I need to mow the back yard
tomorrow before the next storm comes. I saw on the news that
winds were 70 MPH in Seattle and a bridge actually rocked
and scared people in cars.
How
are you doing? Are you adjusting to riding a bike? I
sure
wish you had a car. Maybe your next area. Are you
eating
well? How many investigators do you have? I know,
too
many questions. We just like hearing from you and hope things
are going well.
All
is fine here. I hope we can go over to Pearland this
week.
Myka is growing up so fast and we don't get to
see
her often. I guess it was the same when you were
little.
We missed a lot of all you kids growing up.
The
Marine Corp Ball is this coming Saturday. Grandpa
hasn't
done much with it this year but we are going. I
hope
the food is better than last year.
Larry
and Grandpa did the Conroe Swap meet Friday and
Saturday.
Grandpa sold $13.00. Not really worth the trip
except
that he bought more stuff.
We
pray for you each day and miss you a lot. Keep doing all you
can to find people wanting to hear the gospel. They are there,
you can find them one at a time. Enjoy your mission. You
will always treasure the experience you have there. I can
tell you are growing spiritually and maturing into a fine
young man. I will write a letter this week.
I
attached a wedding picture, the incline train track and
lookout
mountain.
We
love you much,
Grandpa
& Grandma
Grandma and Grandpa,
WOW! Looks like ya'll had fun! Wish I had
some cowboy boots! haha This past week when we had all
of that wind and rain, I was out walking around tracting and
contacting haha. I was soaking wet! I've been doing
pretty great lately! I made a goal to read the Book of
Mormon at least 5 times before my mission is over! So far
I'm doing pretty good with that goal. My legs are
getting used to riding a bike but they still always hurt
it's just not as noticeable. I'm eating pretty good!
You and Grandpa will have to go to Dickey's BBQ with the
rest of the family. I sent them a $50 gift card there. Some
members just opened one up in my ward and I was one of the first in line and won the gift card. Also they said my
companion and I can go back anytime to get free food! We
have a lot of investigators right now. We are praying to
have a baptism within a month. We have one lady who seems like she is ready to endure to the end. My mission has given me such a strong conversion story!
I love and miss ya'll so much!!-
Elder Graham Feidler
p.s. I get to video chat with ya'll in a
month and a half!
